I wanted new furniture without spending a lot of money because I have two Siamese cats and my mother's black cat, they are all spoiled fat kittens who don't like scratching posts or scratching posts there, and they prefer to use these two chairs as scratching posts, so I have I just gave up over time and let them keep using it for scratching. I got these chairs as a gift a few years ago when I was 16 and used them at my mom's house when I knew I was moving. The first thing I did was buy some carpeting because I knew it was hard floor and then I decided I wanted my furniture to match a bit, at least I didn't have the funds because of the move so is better off buying a $500 double chair or new chairs and trying to teach three cats to leave my furniture alone. I bought these covers in Charcoal, no regrets, before my chairs were stained and had the stuffing vomited from years of cat claws, the chair covers now look brand new, fit great and are soft and comfortable. Tuck the covers in, otherwise they will come loose. Place them in the chair as they appear. I would just play with it and see what looks good on your chairs. I tuck my covers into every crevice in my chairs and it looks like a new chair As long as they don't make a big difference in general, I only have a little OCD. So be aware if you have kids or dogs that love to play on the furniture you will glue them everyday lol and lastly second my cats love to sharpen their claws. Just these damn chairs and they don't mind sharpening their claws on the covers so its been a month now and my covers are getting little holes from being stretched and scratched. I will probably need to replace or buy new covers every 6 months before Chairs with covers to protect I train my cats I also like that I can change the colors of my living room without having to buy new furniture if you don't have cats or yours Don't scratch your furniture. These chair covers are quite strong I think thick soft fabric as that was genius for me. Quick idea to make my new apartment look nice but work with my cats. I agree that they are short lived.
