Review on Rechargeable Emergency Bluetooth Flashlight by Kaito by Joe Patterson

Another went down the drain

This was my used Kaito emergency radio which broke within a year. Both with similar problems. Both came from China with a rattle inside, something broke off but you never know what. The first radio came with a broken flashlight. This one came with a faulty charging connector. Backlash and a rattling sound inside. Eventually, the cable failed to make a good enough contact to charge or play from an outlet. I don't think the solar function ever worked. With manual rotation, the internal battery could be powered for about 5 minutes. They only stayed on AA batteries and they will die at the end of the day. With so many ways to power this thing, it amazes me that they all failed. I eventually stopped giving him AA batteries when he began suffering from station drift, the inability to stay connected regardless of the dial setting. Sometimes it just turns off even though the batteries are fresh. In other cases, there are disturbances, similar to repeated loud crackling. I still need an emergency radio in hurricane country, but after two failed Kaitos, I'm wondering who else does these things?
