Window Roller Review

A couple of things, this doesn't appear to be a 'kit' for fixing an entire window. I have a 1995 GMC Sierra and a pulley with a nut and thread might be useful, as would one with a rivet shaft that you have to pierce. The third "roller" (to use the term loosely) has a solid shaft that looks like you have to push it in, which doesn't work for my year's truck. This leads me to believe that this is a single roller repair kit, depending on what type of roller you have for your car depends on which of the three rollers you use, not all rollers. There are "reels" that roll, then there are "sliders" that slide or slide, then "guides" that guide they are labeled as "reels" and clearly do not roll. To get them "rolling" you need to use pliers to grab the shaft and then the rollers, then you can really make them roll. This is not the best scenario in a situation where you need freedom of movement. Too many problems with these parts, IMO. I would recommend another source for videos and stay away. Unless you are a very creative person they are not a direct replacement, if they were they would all be either threaded shank or riveted which they are not.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions
