I ordered this because cleaning the bay windows on the second floor of my home is usually very difficult. This usually required me removing everything from the window (I have a lot of plants) and windowsill, and then I would sit on a ledge and lean through the narrow open windows to clean them from the outside. Either that, or climb onto the roof through a narrow window - or take a ladder and climb to the second floor. Pain whichever side you look at it from, especially since the two middle windows don't open. I hope this device helps - and it does! Since this is a bay window, the glasses have plenty of space between them, but the thing still magnetizes well on both sides. I just fastened it carefully so as not to damage the windows. All I had to do was move things out of the way on the ledge and I was able to bypass most of the other plants and stuff - that made things MUCH easier in and of itself. The triangle moved well most of the time, although it bounced a bit. use. However, they never separated - I just made sure that the dot always moves first. I didn't even have to go that slow, but I didn't go too fast either. Also, I waited until it rained to wash the windows with this thing, because then there are no streaks and the windows are already completely wet from the outside. Plus, more rain is like a flush. :) The corners were a bit difficult for me - maybe I need to practice. So I'm VERY glad I have this and instead of having to clean those pesky bay windows once or twice a year I can clean them a lot more often which gives me a clear view of the world outside. PS - BE CAREFUL with this thing. When I took it out of the box and fiddled with it, I pretty much crushed my pinky as the magnets are STRONG and the sides literally slammed together violently when my finger got in the way. PLEASE make sure to keep this item away from children! Now I try to keep the two sides wide apart and make sure to use the plastic insert they otherwise provide.
