The prongs should hold the opals more securely. I just wore them, I didn't abuse them.
These are beautiful earrings and I get many compliments when I wear them. However, the opal stones fall out, so I will not wear them with visible missing stones now. I am so unsatisfied. They're cheaply made. I hope this doesn't happen with the second pair I bought.
