A 2.5 year old liked the idea but couldn't always put the pieces together, especially at the beginning. If there is more than one child, there will not be enough pieces to share. Overall I think this is a good product and will be used for a long time. I'm in the process of adding another set to the collection, although it's not clear if the pieces will connect.
