This thing is the right size for the bottle pockets on my gear and is a good replacement for the old GI bottles. I was concerned that it might be uncomfortable to wear due to the lack of a concave notch in the middle to allow it to curve around your body, but that doesn't seem to be an issue. The plastic it's made of feels solid and the lid feels solid too. I prefer clear plastic over old opaque glass because you can see it's clean. This isn't the best choice for a daily water bottle unless you have massive hands. The shape is really designed to fit in a bottle pocket on tactical gear.
