Love the bubbles and the light effects. I'm not sure if I should run it 24/7, but I do. I currently only have Glofish in my aquarium so don't worry if I lose it. I buried mine in some gravel and threw away the suction cups that came with it. No swimming problems and you can still see the LEDs. Update: A month later and it still looks and works like new. It stays firmly in the gravel (no suction cups) even when vacuumed/vacuumed around it. It is located under the filter return, so it also illuminates its waves. It will not harm the fish if it is on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
