Unfortunately Apple didn't ship this bay as part of their very expensive new machine and it's made by Apple but also by Promise and now Sonnet to fill the gap to fill. Promise includes a dedicated 8TB drive for people who might need an SSD or larger drives, and Sonnet has solved that by ONLY offering the cage and cables you need to add your own drives. They also used the extra space under the case to add a third 2.5 drive (usually an SSD) to use the motherboard's internal USB 3.0 port. I use these new locations to back up my main SSD drive and workspace. for video editing. The price is high for what you get but not too high for the competition.
