Review on 🖥️ Dell S2721D: Ultra Thin DisplayPort Certified QHD2560X1440P Monitor with 75Hz Refresh Rate, Built-In Speakers, and HD Clarity by Shawn Anderson

My first 4K @ 6Hz monitor. Consider my learning experience (updated 12/30/2021)

This monitor is great overall! However, I honestly didn't expect to have to deal with any technical issues, but I went through some learning curves to fix the weird issues I've been encountering since I bought my "first" 4K@60Hz.1 monitor have. Old cables. Don't expect any of your old cables to "work properly" in 4K at 60Hz2. Certified cables. Regardless of HDMI or DisplayPort cables and adapters, I've found the hard way that these cable providers claim to be "certified" to guarantee bright and beautiful colors and crisp text, you'll be surprised by false advertising.3 . WIndows & Mac OS - Disable all your display color management profiles before blaming the monitor for the problem.4. Dell laptop users, I can confirm that my Dell Precision 5540 (out of warranty) officially has a factory defect that makes it impossible for me to boot normally with a 4K resolution mode, it sometimes just freezes/boots into 85 when powering on % of cases with corrupted external monitor image or blank screen or flickering no matter it was plugged directly into laptop HDMI port or Thunderbolt 3 docking stations, I've tried so many docking stations, firmware fixes, researched BIOS settings believe me me, i've lost a lot of time and effort. Only a USB-C dock worked for me (no thunderbolt dock), this is unacceptable - I found out on the Dell forum that many Dell owners (including Inspiron models) have been reporting the same pattern of display issues and are currently doing so I can't afford a factory reset to see if that fixes the problem. Where everything else fails on my Dell monitor with this 4K monitor, my Gigabyte Aero 15 gaming laptop works flawlessly with a direct HDMI connection or through a Thunderbolt 3 dock.
