I purchased this unit to use for a dual monitor setup. My computer only has 1 HDMI port and 1 DisplayPort port. After 2 months, the monitor connected via the adapter suddenly lost input, but my second monitor said that the first monitor was still connected. When I checked the cables, the adapter was too hot to touch and the case smelled like burnt plastic. So, one adapter passed, and now I'm using the second. It's good that there are two of these in the kit, I'm curious to see how long this one lasts. This is for the PC I use for 3D printing, so it's usually on most of the time. The display went to sleep after 30 minutes, never had a problem before when I was just using HDMI.
