Waterproof material that is quiet while walking in the woods or in a stand, wind proof and warm. I have washed this coat twice since purchasing it earlier this deer season and there have been no fraying issues. This coat has been field tested in torrential down pouring rain and ice. I can personally say this coat handled it all with ease! At this price, this coat simply is 5-stars!
