Wow! Very durable and very thick. An additional zippered skewer pocket is a great addition and is positioned for easy access. We use them on our front wheels as we remove them for shipping. I'm not sure how well they will handle freewheel rear wheels; but i think it might be a bit crowded. I can't say for sure but before I buy them for the rear wheel I would try to find out. As for the diameter; They are perfect for big wheels. I run 700C40 tires and have plenty of room. Another nice feature is the extra padding in the middle of the bag, which gives extra wear resistance to the part of the wheel that rubs against the bag.
