We bought this as we have propane tanks and some are stored in our basement so we wanted to make sure it wasn't leaking at any time. The device goes through a series of calibrations and boot tests and voice prompts which are also good alerts without having to look at the screen when it detects gas in the air. So far testing with propane outdoors has quickly revealed a slow propane leak. The device also has a backlit display so it can be used in the dark and comes with a charger and charging cable. So far the performance and quality has been great and we recommend it 👍
