I've had this for a few months, during that time I've lost contact with the meter twice. The last time was a few weeks ago. Support helped me get it back online the first time, but it won't reconnect the second time. They made me reset it to default but still nothing. When I restarted it and told them it had reset and reconnected to Wi-Fi, they said "Oh great, glad it's working." . . . I replied that it doesn't work, only connected to Wi-Fi but not connected to the meter. I haven't heard anything since then. I'll throw it in the trash can. The only good thing I can say about it is that they offered and returned my purchase. So if I throw it in the trash, at least I won't have any money. . . just a lot of time. They told me that the firmware is under development, so maybe this will solve the problem, but for now. . . pita bread! Update: Support replied that I had to "flash" the device. This requires filling out a form and sending it back to my utility. I did the same thing when I first bought it. . . I just don't see the need to fill out a form, mail it to a utility, and wait a week or two while it's processed to get this thing working again every time it loses contact with the meter. Also, all the data I had was probably gone. It's a great idea, but until they can work with the utility to create an automated "self-help" method for the customer to reset the connection, I don't see this as a viable solution for monitoring my home electricity usage. trash in the morning! Maybe I'll come back once they mature the process.
