I first saw these boots when they were sold by RES and I thought they were a great idea. My horses pull on the Velcro all the time. But usually it's not the velcro that breaks or breaks, it's what attaches the velcro to the boot, or the boot itself if it's made of PVC or cheap rubber. I figured a nice sturdy $30 shoe with an innovative design would also solve this problem and make a decent velcro strap. NOT SO. The plastic D, which has a handy extended-life replacement Velcro, is so cheap it broke the first time my horse grabbed the tongue. What's left is a beautiful, durable ballistic nylon crescent moon in the shape of a bell-shaped clasp. A great idea; bad performance.
