I bought these to hang Edison solar LED lights on our trailer awning and they did the job. We've also hung solar powered bug lanterns on it with no problem. I set the setting to 4 as we needed to slightly open and close the canopy for each one as my canopy design only allows you to place one at a time, open the canopy, move them and then close the canopy, to open the end of the splint and repeat. At the end of the ride we repeat the process to remove them all as we don't want to roll them up inside the tent and leave little dents all over the tent where the clips are. Once installed they slide open easily and hold the light exactly as advertised.
