Review on Convenient and Comfortable Kaytee Take Me with Travel Carrier: Ideal Portable Solution for Traveling with Your Pet by Cassandra White

I love this travel bird cage but one.

I love this travel cage, it was for birds but one big thought I didn't like is that it has a door at the top so if I had to put 2 birds in this cage (parrots) then it will someone already in that travel cage can escape or get their head stuck in the door. I was also fortunate enough to have ordered this cage in two different sizes, one Med and one Large, to see personally what the size difference looks like and I was able to decide which one to keep and which one would work for me , when I use this cage to take my budgies to the vet which is 45 minutes away. In my opinion this cage should be called "small" as this size is small enough to hold 1 budgie at most, but you can make it and fit 2 budgies if you don't have to travel that far and they don't have to stay You long in this little travel cage. I like that the door of this cage is easy to open and close, while the door of this "big" cage is difficult to open or close. The grids make it difficult to place stainless steel feeding cups in this cage and only plastic cups will do. I would recommend this cage for just a lover or budgie for short outings. The quality is great but I don't like the finish as I used this cage to put it in the shower and I saw that in one corner the paint was gone and I see a brown rusty streak in that corner could, so I would not use this for that reason. I would say get this cage if you have a basic membership so you can buy it and see if it suits you. If not, you can easily return it and get a refund. I only have a basic membership for the month I ordered this cage so I don't have to pay for an annual basic membership that I don't need. If you are happy with the door opening position and all the horizontal bars, you might like it. I still have a small Petco bird cage that I use as a travel cage or nursing and housing cage. in this cage but this one has all the vertical bars but there is no problem putting stainless steel feeder cups or plastic feeder cups in there. So for the trip I would take the cage I got from Petco and this cage but in a large size. This way I can send a sick bird to the vet in this oversized Kaytee cage and 3 more in the cage Petco gave me. So if the vet needs to do some sort of stool test, it's easier for them to do that kind of test. I can't leave my 3 budgies at home while I take a sick bird to the vet alone because it never worked and they scream and get upset when they don't see each other so I have to take them all to the vet even if one bird or 2 sick. Sorry for the long review but I'm just trying to help others who are looking for the best cage to travel on a budget. I will be posting photos of this cage in sizes medium and large for size comparison to the cage I received from Petco. Let me know if you want to know what kind of cage I got from Petco that I use for sick birds or even to separate the birds if there is any kind of fight between them. However, I recommend it!
