The Sony NP-FZ100 batteries currently powered by the A7III, A7RIII, A7RIV, A9, A9II and A6600 models are NOT compatible. You can force it shut, but it doesn't seal because the FZ100 batteries are about 2mm thicker, leaving a gap of about the same width at each end of the case. If you don't care that it's waterproof, it'll keep you. But for me it was all about waterproofing so I sent this case back. On a positive note, the case is very well made and appears to be of very high quality. Also note that the gum is red and not orange as shown in the picture. If you were hoping the lining would match the orange color of the Sony Alpha, you'll be disappointed. I have not tested this with batteries from other camera manufacturers as I only had Sony FZ100 batteries.
