I'm a pair of old (2014) Dell monitors with VGA and DVI inputs - a new (2018) Dell PC with a pair of display ports and a VGA -Video output. So how do I connect for a dual monitor configuration? These DisplayPort to DVI converter cables are just the thing to make it possible without bulky built-in cable converters. Plug and play couldn't be easier with them and I can easily reach the monitor's maximum display settings of 1920 x 1200. Before you buy, remember that they are not bi-directional, which means they must come from the computer screen port. Connects to the DVI connector on the monitor. Not the other way around as I read some of the reviews I complained about.
