Freeze ice problem fixed

The reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the mounting bracket does not fit properly. This solved the problem of ice forming in my freezer. Here are the troubleshooting steps.1. Check the defrost timer. Mine has a small pin that I can reach and twist with a screwdriver. Also, my device is rated for 10 hours on and 30 minutes off. Turn the timer clockwise until the fans turn off and wait about 10 minutes. If you hear water hissing on the heating coil, you may have bad seals on the doors.2. If you haven't heard the hiss of water on the heating element in the freezer as the ice melts, unplug the refrigerator, defrost, remove the back panel to gain access to the heating element. Remove the heating element. Use a voltmeter and measure the resistance of the heating element. It should be between 10 ohms and less than 1 ohm. If the resistance of the heating element is high (open circuit) then your heating element is faulty. If the heating element is OK, go to the next step.3. Remove the defrost thermostat and connect the two wires together (this simulates a closed thermostat circuit). Connect your device to the network. (Caution! The electronic control box and wiring are supplied with 120 VAC). Watch the heating element, if it glows replace the thermostat and you should be fine.
