Review on πŸ” SIIG 2-Port DVI Dual-Link KVM Switch with USB 3.0 Multi-Media Support - Smart Console (CE-DV0111-S1) by Alfredo Testerman

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It is big. That is hard. It works.

This KVM switch is designed to share a display with a DVI connection with two other computers. The computers must also have a DVI connection. This switch lets you use a keyboard, mouse, display, and anything else plugged into the box between two different computers without having to switch everything manually. This switch is big and heavy. I have another KVM switch that can connect to four computers and is lighter than this one. I don't know if that means it's hard or if someone hasn't bothered to make it easier, but be careful, it's hard. You won't want to move this thing at all. The switch has 4 USB 3.0 ports and two USB 2.0 ports. You need to connect your keyboard and mouse to the 2.0 ports and then other things you want to connect to other ports. I use mechanical keyboard and gaming mouse and they don't work in 2.0 ports. They work on 3.0 ports, but I get an error message on Windows saying the connected device is using too much power when plugged in. So users of mechanical keyboards and gaming mice should be careful when using them with this switch. No drivers required. It's really plug and play, which is a big plus. There are buttons on the front to toggle inputs and they work great. You can also use a hotkey combo, but I couldn't get it to work with my setup. This KVM switch gets the job done. It works as advertised. However, note that mechanical keyboards and gaming peripherals may not work well with this device.
