Looked like a great device but the first 10 minutes my husband used the devices broke or shorted out.

My husband's old soldering iron died last week after years of use so I bought this tool for his birthday. He opened it early as he was a bit busy and very excited to use it, especially after opening the packaging and seeing the device. I've never used what he called the convection portion of the machine and he told me how easy it was to use. After 10 minutes I heard someone yell a bad word and asked what the problem was. After playing with it a bit to learn how to use it, he told me it started smoking a little, he heard a crackling noise and it stopped completely and died. He told me that there must have been a short circuit inside the device. I will return it and this time spend a little more money to get a good branded device. Signed, totally disappointed.
