Update: So I bought 2 (at the same time) as we now have 2 beta fish and they can't be together…. I opened the new box and put the batteries in the light part... And it doesn't work... the first one worked for several days, then it stopped... crap, don't buy that... Pay a little more for one that actually works…. Because that's what I have to do now. The bowl is plastic and that's ok.... But the LED doesn't work.... It worked fine for about 2 weeks and now it won't turn on at all, we have good batteries in it.... The price sold me anyway you get what you pay for i need to buy another one….
