Everything is fine when it works
I've had frequent HDMI detection problems with my laptop. If I reconnected everything everything would work perfectly. Fast device change and compatible with my ultrawide monitor. However, after a day's work, one of the devices stopped working. I changed the cable and the other one no longer works. I return the money for this device and look for another one. Not worth the frequent headaches.
