I wanted something to pack for travel that doesn't take up too much space and will either take a few knocks or not be too frustrating if it breaks. Since I carry a Sennheiser MKH-416 or SE7 microphone on the go, taking the Octo-842 Hook with me on the go wasn't optimal, and my old "snap" is too big to see. I thought maybe I could reconfigure the bands (as shown in the pictures) and it worked. It hangs well on both microphones. I've been using it for a few weeks and the only reason it got four stars and not five is that it's unbalanced and tends to tip one way or the other after a while. I don't know why they're offset, but I wish the stripes had a few dots or were more centered. I know it's nitpicking, but for the job I bought it for, it's up to the task!
