Review on πŸ”’ BOSGEOT Polyurethane Casters with Casters Lock by Michael Freemason

Great except for: Rolls

I bought these rolls for an immediate project and figured buying 8 rolls would leave me a set of four for a future project which I just finished last weekend. The first 4 reels worked great. I particularly liked that they both lock and rotate and come with mounting screws/washers. The problem arose when I wanted to use the second set of 4. When attaching it to my project I noticed that 1 wheel was not spinning properly and wobbled. Disassembled it (and disassembled the good one) to find that the bearing in the bad reel had a larger ID than the rest. So there was a gap between the bolt that went through the wheel and the bearing inside. This is basic quality control 101. Fortunately, through trial and error, I found another screw of the correct diameter, was able to drill a slightly larger hole in two black metal brackets, and install a larger screw, which saved the project. If you buy 8 of something, use them in sets of 4 and there's a bad one. because it makes 1/2 of the purchase worthless. I don't need a set of 3 rolls. The only other downside is that when the locking mechanism is locked, the pedal is so close to the ground that you can't unlock it with your foot, so you have to bend over and pull the pedal up with your hand. Of course, they're smaller casters, so there's not much wiggle room, but if you lock/unlock them frequently (which I don't), you may need larger casters and have more room to lock with the pedal. and unlock the mechanism.

Cons
