Bought this for my daughter to take the Wii to college. Her roommate's TV only had HDMI. The TV showed it with vertical stripes down the sides, while the Wii's center screen shrank like an old CRT screen. The Wii's screen settings were correct, but the TV had to be manually set to fill widescreen instead of automatically. There were also very slight wavy interference lines on the screen, but not strong enough to be distracting. It just wasn't as sharp and clear as advertised. Still very playable.
