Review on 🔵 AMI PARTS-4040 Humidifier Water Solenoid Valve Replacement - 24V 2.3W, Compatible with B2015-S85 B2017-S85 220 224 400 400A Models - Blue by Eric Budd

The solenoid valve was stuck open and not working, allowing water to flow through. Unfortunately, this could only be discovered AFTER the connection of the plumbing and electrical installation. I spent 4 full hours on this including double checking that I connected everything correctly, including researching if it can be solved/fixed/if there is a workaround - I couldn't find it. As a result, I went back and ordered from another seller on Revain. it worked great. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0812FKWX4?ref=ppx_pt2_dt_b_prod_image Having read other reviews beforehand, this seemed to happen on a very rare occasion (to be left open) - around 5% of reviews. So I'm either very, very unlucky or there are more flaws than the reviews suggest. As someone else pointed out, the OEM had yellow wires and a lot of these new ones have blue wires. While not scientific, the next one I bought had yellow wires for this reason, and voila, the replacement worked. Incidentally, my original magnet had a 3/32" hole. It also has a 3/32" hole. The second one I bought (from the link above) only had a 3/64" hole but left more than enough water going through.So just FYI either size will work fine as long as the other specs are the same - voltage etc. Was it worth doing this repair myself and saving about $200 in labor from my HVAC partner "It doesn't require all that extra time and research yes but after 2 repairs plus all that extra time probably not. So I'd recommend you do yourself a favor and carefully buy this part before you start. Nowadays it seems to give a lot of unnecessary details. Good luck everyone!
