Rapture, that's solid brass. Very comfortable in the hand. A solid feeling keeps me in control. Another advantage is that this pen is quiet. What does rest mean? Other lightweight, feature-rich models always seem to have loose parts that seem to create a rumble or need constant tightening to quiet them. Very annoying. Paw Tool Jr. Made in the USA from solid brass with no loose parts. Started with a one-time purchase. Then I went back like reading glasses to buy enough to be within reach of every room I need them in. A bit pricey but overall worth it.
