I installed it in the slot just below my GPU and it helps lower it a maximum of 1 or 2 degrees but not much different to be honest. I'm not sure if this is related to the product itself or where I installed it, but when I first installed it I didn't feel any air coming up, so I'm not sure if it's a defective product or not just a very weak air flow. I would return it if I could and get something else, but I was too busy doing anything else to even think about returning it.
