They are mainly needed if you have a portable air conditioner and sash windows. My GE AC chose a window mount that fits in the center of the window opening, making it almost impossible to use in a vertical window. I'm moving the air conditioner between two rooms and it's very easy to remove this bracket and install it in the next room. My only concern is the plastic ring that connects the hose to the bracket, doesn't fit very well and sometimes gets partially displaced when the hose is moved, but it snaps back into place easily. I would like a more permanent way to mount the ring, e.g. B. a screw mounting option.
