Bought because my motorized blinds that said they needed to be charged every 6-12 months actually break down every 3 weeks. The whole point of the motorized blinds was that the window position was somewhat inaccessible, so clumsily climbing up there again and again to plug the charging cord into the socket on the top track wasn't profitable in the long run. Now I can just leave one of these extension cords plugged into the top of the outlet while the other end conveniently hangs at the bottom of the window instead of at the top. That way, every five seconds when the blinds' battery dies, all I have to do is plug the cord from the power adapter into that easy-to-access outlet to charge it. All I had to do was attach this unobtrusive white wire to the window frame to hide it from view.
