FHI have been using hair straighteners for many years, the only brand I use. I ordered this product because I thought the slanted plates would make it easier to straighten and curl my hair, but the lightweight straightener doesn't do the same straightening job as my previous FHI irons. I have thick, curly hair that needs a heavier flat iron to straighten it with minimal flat iron passes. It works well for thinner and thinner hair and does not attack the hair's natural texture.
