This little fan is rechargeable, tilts up and down, has multiple speeds with surprisingly good performance for its size and is quiet. The motor is closed so that no dust gets inside. There are rubber protectors on the underside. I have it on the table in front of me, and in the summer I was cool even when the electricity went out. My only complaint is that the power and speed buttons are on the back of the fan, not the front. With my old fan that broke, I could easily reach the buttons while seated, but with this fan I have to stand up and reach across my back to get to the buttons. When you have a sore ankle and hot flashes that force you to turn the fan on and off every few minutes, it's uncomfortable.
