Would give 5 stars except for the following. Like I said, the instructions suck. said Nuf. The product was not offered in any finish other than chrome. I think that's what you get if you try to keep the value low. The temperature controller is made of chrome-plated plastic. For real? Couldn't switch to metal? Not a deal breaker, but stupid. Again, as someone said, a real showerhead is a pretty big bell-shaped thing. However, it works quite well. The last point was a mystery. Everything in my kit was chrome-plated except for the shower flange, which is placed on the pipe against the wall. The supplied flange was white. I just pay 99 cents at the local hardware store and buy a replacement chrome. Too many problems to bitch the seller. All in all it was a relatively easy rebuild that allowed me to ditch my ugly, rusty, malfunctioning 1500 series with this 1700 series.
