Meets all the requirements of a high-quality outdoor surveillance camera

I was pleasantly surprised by this camera and very happy with my purchase. The folks at Wansview really thought through every step. Pros: - Image quality is really good (1080p) - Recording storage on Micro SD card or Wansview cloud storage - Sturdy metal construction - Ethernet (wired) or WiFi connection (wireless) - Two-way audio (speakers and microphone ) - Looks great, very modern and compact - Easy to install in cement or wood with screws and anchors provided - Awesome app for setting up cameras, changing motion/alarm/notification settings, viewing recordings and other controls - Very affordable in comparison to big competitors - Clear and simple user manual - Night vision - IP66 waterproof - Long range wireless with included antenna - No connection problems so far Cons: - Power Over Ethernet is not supported - The power cable is very short and limited. weird because I think it's a huge feature). It is located under the speaker grille. Simply remove the two Phillips screws with the screwdriver provided. I have Cat 6 Plus wiring in my walls running to various locations outside of my home. I used them to connect the cameras to the internet, but I still needed power. I don't have power outlets within reach, so I can't use the included power adapter to connect the camera directly. It took me a while to figure this out, but basically I was feeding power into my ethernet cable. I used ethernet to send 12v power through the walls to the camera. So. Only 4 of the 8 wires in Cat 6 are used (when the speed is below 100 Mbps). Blue and white-blue can be used for positive, brown and white-brown for negative. I used DC/DC converters on both ends to convert the + and - wires into a barrel connector that works with the camera and power supply. Find 2.1mm x 5.5mm DC pigtail cable to get adapters. I connected the included power adapter to cords of those colors inside my house and to a plug of the same color outside my house. Viola, I have power and ethernet from my camera over a single Category 6 cable. Wansview Cloud Storage: The basic plan supports 3 cameras. and saves recordings for the last 7 days. The Extended and Pro subscriptions simply add more days of storage and more cameras. You can check the prices in the app or on the Wansview website. I prefer storage to an SD card for a number of reasons. I can choose the memory size, I chose 64GB. They are cheap. You can store many hours of footage. I haven't filled mine yet but I've had the camera for 2 months now. In this case, the camera automatically overwrites the old recordings. You can view, download and share recordings from the timeline in the app. All in all, this is a really great camera. I have already told my neighbors about it and I have no hesitation in recommending it to you. I hope that was helpful. Thank you for reading!
