I use this microscope stand with a Dinoscope electron microscope to view coins as my eyes can't see well even with the jewelry loop. The stand is made of aluminum and will therefore last a very long time. This stand is also designed to hold all other similar sized microscopes perfectly with its three clamping screws. My dinoscope has never come loose. The scope moves up and down by rotating the focus knobs. The ratio of grip rotation to scope movement is simply outstanding! This makes it very easy to get the sharpest image possible. You can also adjust the tension required to turn the knobs to raise and lower the scope. This allows you to choose how much force you want to use to raise and lower the microscope so it doesn't wobble or slip on its own. The two included lights are very good for getting slanted light to highlight certain details. You can use one, both or neither of the lamps. The stand comes with a storage case to store the stand and scope when not in use. For the money you can't go wrong with this electron microscope stand.
