Review on 🐠 Coppersafe by Fritz Mardel: Effective 16oz Solution for Fish Tank Copper Treatment by Callie Boyd

Doesn't work for me. 31% loss before method change.

Didn't work for me. The fish got worse after the right dosage. An API copper test kit was also used. The levels were correct. There is also some level confusion. The company seems to agree that dosage is 1.16 ppm. However, the therapeutic dose is 1.5-2.0 ppm. I also increased the dosage to this range for a period of time. All my black phantom tetras died first. After the copper treatment they got progressively worse, so I switched to regular heating. I have a new control heater. Raised the temp to 84 and 5 teaspoons of salt per 20 gallons. Many people have had success using no salt and just heating to 86. My worst neon tetra had 4 theronts on its dorsal fin. After 2 days I only counted 1 theront on the fin. After 4 or 5 days I do not see ichthitis in fish with a temperature of about 86 and 7 tons of salt. Anyway, I can't be sure what exactly happened. Many seem to have had good luck with this, but that's not my experience.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
