My first curved screen

I work from home as a software engineer, so I sit in front of screens most of the day. I bought 3 pieces, two for me and one for my wife. I replaced two HP 24" flat screens with these bad boys. These were my first curved screens and I was a little concerned I wouldn't like the curved effect (I found it a bit useless) but I couldn't be happy. "The brightness and clarity of these screens is also superior to my previous screens. I played around with the brightness, sharpness and contrast but ended up not having to adjust much. The default settings are pretty nice. Although these screens are larger, they still have a maximum 1920x1080 resolution so don't expect super high quality HD images They were easy to put together just plug the base into the slot on the monitor I like the stand itself it's very low it takes up more space on my desk Desk for my keyboard (wireless, backlit, Logitech K800 - I suggest buying one) and mouse (Microsoft 5000 Wireles s Laser Mouse - nothing fancy, gets the job done). I bump into my desk, the screens shake a bit, but it's not bad and not very noticeable. e. Sometimes, when I'm typing vigorously, I shake a bit, but again, I remain undeterred. I had my fingers crossed (figuratively, of course) as I took the screens out of the box and inspected them for damage. The surface of each of the three screens I bought was in perfect shape and after connecting them I checked for dead pixels, colored lines etc that couldn't be used. I'm happy to report that all three screens were in excellent condition. I mainly use Visual Studio and found that I had to change the default Consolas font to another, thinner Monotype font (I found a free font called Monofur that works great at 12pt) to improve font readability and code lines to optimize on the screen. With these screens, Consolas was too large at 12pt. And just making the font look ugly (pixelated, blocky, etc.) so I wanted something better. I'm not sure how well the screenshot will transfer to your current screen, but I created a small crop to show how sharp my screen looks. As for the curvy effect, I was a bit worried after reading other reviews, some of which talked about how terrible they are for spreadsheets. I'm not sure what they are as I find these screens to be perfect for keeping long lines of text on screen for extended periods of time. With these screens in front of you, the curve itself is almost invisible. As I mentioned, I use two side-by-side screens and I find that they wrap my workspace perfectly in a more immersive way than my previous non-curved screens. My wife works on another computer as an editor (so again lots of text and spreadsheets) and she loves it. The ONLY complaint I have right now is that when I sit side by side on these two screens, the top and bottom don't line up perfectly. One edge is raised about 1/4 inch above the other. I haven't played around with the monitor position too much to see if I can fix it as I don't really notice it while I'm working. i have some thoughts how to fix it if it really bothers me so I really can't complain. All in all, if you're looking for a good upgrade for your current screen without breaking the bank, these screens will do the job well.
