If you can get your hands on any of these before proceeding, DO IT! The updated model is not so premium (VG289Q1A). difference in quality. This model is heavier - better PCU (consumes more watts). Also the stand is very well built (solid as a rock). I have my BenQ 31" 4K professional monitor as the middle monitor and they are mounted on each side (3 panels for work/photoshop etc.). The VG289Q is an upgrade from a pair of 20-inch 740p monitors that are 15 years old. What difference does it make as if I went to the optometrist and got new glasses and now I can see 20/20 because of the 4k resolution?
