Century Wire 100ft 10/3 Tri-Cap is a great product at a great price ($64.97 with free shipping). I have my Poulan Pro 400E 4.0 HP 18" Electric Chainsaw up to 225 feet (200 feet with Century Wire 100' 10/3 and the last 25' with Coleman 02587 25' 12/3-Wire Gauge Vinyl) extension for used outdoors with lighted end, amber, no signs of overheating or loss of power Don't get me wrong I like Coleman cable products but Century Wire 100ft 10/3 diameter is at least 50-75% larger The importance of having the right electrical gear is a common theme among electric chainsaw users. To paraphrase one commenter, "I've read most complaints about 'engine smoking', black soot on motor housing", "saw stalls after half an hour." etc. I also have an electric one Chainsaw Poulan Pro 400E and I can say that after trimming branches from 8 to 11 inches on 5 oak trees, pruning them for disposal and then about 4 months after that I went through the same scenario in my mac I have son's house and worked almost constantly with a saw for 2 1/2 hours. Now here is what I see with the comments above. You cannot use this saw on WalMart 16 gauge 25', 50', or 100' wire cable. 16 and even 14 gauge wire rope has fumigated many devices powered by electric motors. Here's my secret. 1. Follow the owner's manual, I use 50ft of 12 gauge wire cable and 100ft of 12 gauge wire cable and the saw barely gets hot. Poulan does NOT recommend using 100ft cable, but I honestly believe this is just a precautionary measure to discourage people from using 10ft 16 gauge cable. no problem using my chainsaws for hours AND at $64.97 with free shipping I would HIGHLY recommend this product!
