I bought this for my twin cylinder Honda lawn tractor because it didn't have a tachometer or hour meter and I wanted to keep track of RPM as well as run time while I was working. Attachments. The biggest surprise was how accurate the revs are. I have a mechanical tach which I hooked up and tested and then installed and it was within 10 rpm; as close as possible. I was skeptical as the tachometer is inductive, this is done by wrapping a wire around the spark plug wire. The only downside to this is that there are no clear instructions or materials to help keep the induction wire wrapped around the spark plug wire. All it says on it is that you have to wrap it tightly around the wire 5-6 times. I ended up using about 4 different zip ties to keep it wrapped tightly. It looks terrible, but so far it works. Don't let that put you off buying, I just thought I'd mention it so you know. In general, installation is easy. They offer hardware for installation in two different ways. with velcro 2. by drilling two small holes and using the provided screws to fix it in place. Both look great and neither setting affects performance.
