It is a little smaller than previous size Mediums I have bought. However not small enough that I cannot wear it comfortably. I have always worn regular baseball caps all year. Come winter I did not change to any type of winter hat. Now comes this year where we had some horrendously cold temps and windchills. I am not really fond of knit hats so I found this hat. I have worn it several times already and love it. Even with the ear flaps up the hat keeps my head warm. However with the flaps down my ears are nice and warm as well as the back of my neck which was an unexpected benefit with this hat. So I still have my baseball type cap and yet it is winter ready. I would highly recommend this cap.
