Review on Convenient Grommet Punching πŸ”§ with CooPee Portable Handheld Device by Mohmed Burt

Worked fine for me

July 2021. Verified after 1st draft. In general, this eyelet tool suited me. . The tool squeezed the 2 parts together well. They were a good match. The male part was well bent over the ring. The fabric would not fold or fold leaving strange fold lines. But I cut the fabric across before inserting the sleeve and pressing down with the tool. Most rings remained intact. Some are torn in one place. I suspect the harder you press down on the tool the more likely you are to break the rings. ? But in the eyelets was normal. There are no sharp edges to cut the rope you are pulling through. Yes, it needs some force to push the tool. The rubber grips were comfortable enough to work with. If I had a project with more than 30 grommets, I would take a break every now and then to rest my hands. The tool is slightly magnetic. It attracts 2 pieces well, but not very much. I've only had a few issues with a couple of instances where the instrument was magnetized on the male part making it difficult to walk through the fabric. But practice makes perfect, and overall it was a better experience than using the more primitive hammer tool method. Took me about 30 minutes. to drill about 20 holes in this large ripstop blanket. Including the first exercise on a piece of plastic, and cut each hole with a cross and wrap everything. Zero instruction manual. The packaging is not labeled. The size of the eyelet punch (10 mm) is also not specified. (I measured the bushings to confirm the 10mm diameter). The tool comes separately from the large socket bag, except for the small starter kit bag. Probably 40 eyelets or something. I didn't count a big package of gaskets and rings. I saw that the rings were in the eyelet in a separate plastic bag. This is useful. This tool looked the same as the more expensive ones. So I gave it a chance to see if it would work out well. I assume this will work just as well as the more expensive ones. (but I didn't use the others for exact comparison).

Pros
  • Eyelets
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
