Review on 🎙️ USB Blue Snowflake Microphone by Ted Boone

So when this product arrived I installed it. We used it for a regular Discord voice call with a friend while playing FFXIV. The jump in quality was amazing. Before Snowflake, my friend and I used either our cell phones with the Discord app or my laptop's default mic. The limitations of a laptop microphone are that it only picks up sound well in front of it and nowhere else. The snowflake detects at least 180 degrees of sound. Now our friends can hear both of us and not just me when we are in voice chat. This microphone picks up all sounds. That's cool! However, this is not very good for our current living situation. We are in an unfinished concrete basement next to all means of communication, there is no soundproofing and damping anywhere. BUT the microphone is not to blame. My only criticism is the design. It's designed to carry the cord in the base for shipping, but I haven't managed to close it with the cord in the base yet. When I hang it on my laptop it leaves a lot of extra space so it wobbles when I need to adjust the screen angle or move the laptop. I think I'll try to use velcro to keep it in place but this should be taken into account when purchasing.
