This tabletop sewing machine organizer pad by PACMAXI has really been ideal for reducing noise while sewing, preventing scratches on my tabletop, and keeping pertinent sewing supplies close at hand. I actually had a piece of rubbery latex shelf liner under my machine to prevent movement prior to receiving this. My first impression of this pad was that it would not work as it looked too slippery to prevent sewing machine movement. How wrong I was! It actually works perfect with my little 12 lb portable machine. This pad measures 23 1/4" x 23 1/4", which is a few inches different from the measurements listed in the product description. This sewing machine pad is quilted and has soft padding that helps reduce sewing machine noise and friction from vibration against my tabletop. I ordered the floral pad with the beige background. It has four pockets across the front of it, each measuring approximately 5" long and 5" deep. One of the pockets has a button attachment for a little removable supply holder that measures 5" in diameter and 4" deep. These pockets allow you to keep scissors, bobbins, thread, zippers, clips, pins, and other accessories close at hand. This little pad can easily be folded up and taken along to sewing class or even when traveling. This PACMAXI sewing machine mat is 100% water resistant polyester. It is recommended that it be handwashed and air dried. It is also recommended that it not be machine washed, dried, or ironed.
