bought this because our old one stopped working. wanted to put batteries in the base unit but when i opened it the screw was striped and i couldn't open it. I had to fiddle around a bit to figure out how to get it out. Not sure if it was a returned item, a resale, or just a factory defect, but a 5 minute setup turned into 45 minutes.
