So I was a newbie and bought two 2TB SATA m.2 SSDs. Little did I know my phone only supports NVME in slot 2 and I would have to pay a 15% restocking fee to return it. So this unit cost as much as I would have lost in restocking fees. (Read the MoBo product specs page of course). The time of history is over. This device was very easy to put together, and it immediately showed up on my computer as a single disk (except for the need to initialize the disk). I have never seen such fast read and write speeds. I use this as a storage drive and the transfer speed is incredibly fast. I will probably buy another one to use for the NVR in the future. I highly recommend this device if you have large drives. I personally wouldn't use it for less than 1TB + 1TB, but that's just my preference.
