They were perfect for converting some of my velvet coated hangers into clip on hangers for my skirts. I've always disliked the way metal clips twist on a pole and snag on each other or on my clothes; They don't rotate where they attach to the temple and the top where you press them to open the clip doesn't protrude much from the temple and is soft with rounded corners, eliminating both issues. There's no loop, you open the clamps by squeezing the opposite ends together, and the plastic is flexible enough at the junction to work like a loop. However, they feel strong and durable and hold my skirts securely. The inner part of the jaws of the clip is also covered with velvet, which protects the fabric from snagging. They're also easy to install: just pinch together and slide over the bottom bar of the hanger. And they look very beautiful! They have a slight odor right out of the box but it dissipates quickly; If you're sensitive to plastic outgassing, I recommend opening them up outdoors and letting them air out for maybe half an hour. I am very happy with them and will buy them again if I ever need more!
